Job well done to Aniya Edwards for hosting the hashtag#CEExperience event at her alma mater and lecturing to over 120 students on various hashtag#civilengineering fundamentals. We're thrilled to have her on the TRANS-IPIC University Transportation Center team and can't wait to see what she'll accomplish next!
Below are Aniya's comments on the CEExpirience she hosted. Incredible!

Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of visiting Merrillville Highschool to host the CE Experience : Civil Engineering for a Day event.
As a class of 2019 grad, I had the opportunity to lecture over 120 students from different highschool classes and teach various hashtag#civilengineering fundamentals in their newly constructed CTE wing. This event consisted of various activities like the "Structural Engineering Showdown" and lectures about college and career planning throughout the day. The students were not only engaged, but passionate about ways in which they could express their own creativity and find solutions to the problems they face in their day to day lives.
A big thank you to the teachers at hashtag#MHS who helped students participate in this event. With the help of my family and student volunteers, I hope to continue this tradition of giving back through educational learning in future graduate semesters with the hashtag#CEExperience.
