TRANS-IPIC was honored to host Joe Lombard of PCI of Illinois & Wisconsin and Preston Moore, Partha Ramakrishnan, and Lyndell Borcherding of County Prestress & Precast, LLC for a tour of the facilities and research at Newmark Structural Engineering Laboratory this past Friday. The Grainger College of Engineering professor Bassem Andrawes and students Siyoung Park, Alexander Chen, P.E., and Ernesto Pérez-Claros showed off current precast concrete research and discussed the vast potential of collaboration between industry and research for tackling challenges facing transportation infrastructure today.
